About the Commission
The Queensland Racing Commission of Inquiry will commence on 1 July 2013 by Order in Council of 23 May 2013.
The Honourable Justice Margaret White AO has been appointed as Commissioner to make full and
careful inquiry in an open and independent manner into the operations of former
racing control body Racing Queensland Ltd and its predecessors, in accordance
with the inquiry’s terms of reference.
The Commissioner is to provide the Premier with a report of the inquiry’s findings and recommendations by 30 September 2013.
The report is to include any recommended legislative and organisational changes to promote good corporate governance, integrity, transparency and accountability within the new control body, the Queensland All Codes Racing Industry Board (trading as Racing Queensland).
